SCOTTISH RADIO HOLDINGS plc ("SRH")
Statement in relation to its offer for Border Television plc ("Border")


Not for release, distribution or publication in or into the USA, Canada,

SRH has considered its position in relation to the increased offer which has
been announced this afternoon by Capital Radio plc ("Capital") for Border. 
Having evaluated the cash price to be offered by Capital, the SRH Board has
concluded that any further increase in SRH's Offer would not be in the best
interests of SRH's shareholders.

Richard Findlay, Chief Executive of SRH said:

"Capital's increased offer for Border is a very high one and more than we are
prepared to pay.  We intend to accept cash in respect of our holding of
351,000 Border Shares, the gain on which more than covers our bid expenses."
