project management company, which through its parent; The Basil Read Group, is
able to provide mining and engineering services from study and project
management through to contract mining and operations. TWP Australia has the
necessary history and access to experienced personnel to execute the Kalia Mine
DFS and through the construction phases and into operations if desired. The
combined group has the knowhow to implement complex process plant projects and
support infrastructure from hydro and fossil fuelled power solutions to mine
operations in the African region. TWP has been awarded the project management,
mining, power and mine infrastructure aspects of the DFS.
Ausenco is known internationally for its capabilities in the provision of study,
engineering design and construction services for mineral processing
concentrators, particularly in remote regions similar to the Kaila project.
Ausenco will support the Kalia Mine Project with recent design experience in
similar iron ore concentrators, regional experience and the resources to supply
quality engineering and project solutions to complete the Kalia study with a
"fit for purpose" design. Ausenco have been awarded the processing and materials
handling scope of the DFS as the nominated engineer.
TWP Australia and Ausenco have the approach and cultural fit to work
cooperatively with the Bellzone project team and successfully deliver a quality
study necessary to support the schedule to meet the planned first ore shipment
dates in 2014. The Company expects that the DFS studies will commence
immediately and that the DFS will be completed by Q4, 2011.
In support of the increased personnel and technical activities required to
support the DFS, Bellzone has:
· Appointed
o Johan Labuschagne - Manager of Mining
Johan is a mining engineer with more than 20 years multinational mining
operational experience in South Africa, Zambia, Ghana, Mali and Western
Australia. His experience covers senior management positions on large owner
mining open pit iron ore and copper operations, contract mining operations and
multi-pit gold operations. Johan has worked in West Africa taking a Greenfield
mining project to full operational status. His specific experience in Open Pit
mining covers all aspects from resource development, optimisation and design to
equipment selection and all operational functions.
o Rod Davies - Process Manager
Rod is a metallurgist with over 20 years' experience in the mining and minerals
industry, covering all aspects from feasibility studies and project management,
commissioning through to operations. Rod's extensive experience covers a number
of mineral process including nickel, copper and iron ore for projects located in
Africa, Australia, Saudi Arabia and Brazil. Rod has recently been involved with
a number of magnetite project developments in Sierra Leone, West Africa.
· Increased the Kalia camp capacity, accommodation and facilities.
In addition, the Company continues to progress the magnetite bulk sample
process with preliminary results from the initial 10 year Kalia pit indicating
good performance through standard operating and magnetic separation equipment.
The full results of the magnetite bulk sampling are expected to be available Q2
2011.
Graham Fyfe, Chief Operating Officer commented:"The appointment of TWP and
Ausenco comes after a long and detailed selection process. I believe we have
appointed the two consultants who best cover the range of skills and experience
required to undertake the diversity of the Kalia Mine feasibility study. Both
have excellent credentials in undertaking projects of this diversity and
magnitude in Africa. Under the guidance of Bryan Pearce, our Project Director
and our key project leadership team of Johan as Manager of Mining and Rod as
Process Manager, we look forward to working with their teams and completing the
DFS as planned."

Bellzone Mining plc
Bellzone Mining plc is an exploration and resource development company with iron
ore and nickel / copper permits in the Republic of Guinea, West Africa.
The Company's flagship project, the Kalia Iron Mine has a JORC resource of 3.74
billion tonnes, located on the Kalia I prospect. Drilling results and internal
estimates indicate that Kalia Prospect has the potential to host more than 10
billion tonnes of magnetite and 2.55 billion tonnes of oxide at surface.
Exploration work continues to further define the potential at Kalia I on both
the magnetite and oxide at surface.
Bellzone is committed to the staged development of the Kalia Iron Project, which
includes a 50mtpa iron ore facility, rail and port, with initial production
scheduled in 2014. Stage one is planned to bring online 20mtpa direct shipping
ore ('DSO') capacity in 2014 and a 10mtpa magnetite concentrator in 2015. Stage
two increasing the DSO output to 30mtpa in 2017 and doubling the concentrate
capacity to 20mtpa by 2018.
Bellzone signed an Infrastructure Accord with the Republic of Guinea giving the
Company exclusive rights to the designated port and rail areas for purposes of
conducting studies for the development of the infrastructure leading to the
signing of a convention and concession. The infrastructure forms a key part of
the Guinea Government's infrastructure strategy and will support the development
of iron ore, bauxite and other minerals in Guinea through its availability for
3rd party use.
On 2 August 2010, Bellzone signed definitive agreements with China International
Fund ('CIF'). CIF will finance and develop the rail and port infrastructure and
offer a finance package to Bellzone for the development of the Kalia Mine in
exchange for the first right to purchase 100% of the off-take of the Kalia Mine
at market price.
An exploration programme is currently underway at the Forecariah Iron Permits
that lie between 40 and 80kms from the Guinea coast. Bellzone and CIF will
jointly develop these permits which are prospective for oxide and magnetite.
The oxide has the potential to deliver cash flow from a Direct Shipping Ore
project in the short term.
Bellzone has competed an intensive mapping and surface sampling programme and
has defined highly prospective drilling targets at its Sadeka Nickel/Copper
Project and will commence a drilling programme on these targets in Q4 2010.
