                           BOARD APPOINTMENT

Brammer,  the European industrial services group, today announces  the
appointment  of  Mr  Mel Porter, Chief Executive  of  Livingston,  its
electronic equipment management division, to the Board of Brammer plc.
He becomes an executive director of the Board with immediate effect.

Mr  Porter  joined  Livingston in September 1999, becoming  its  Chief
Executive shortly thereafter.   Prior to joining Livingston, Mr Porter
was Managing Director of a number of European Logistics Businesses  at
the  Ocean Group. An instrumentation engineer by training, he also has
extensive  experience  in  logistics  and  outsourcing,  as  well   as
equipment rental.


Ian Fraser, Chief Executive of Brammer, commented:

"In his short time at Livingston, Mel Porter has quickly demonstrated
the  value  of  his  technical  skills  and  rental  experience.   His
appointment  to the Brammer Board will ensure that his expertise  will
be  available  across  the Group's activities and  strategic  planning
functions."
