Blue Planet Worldwide Financials Investment Trust plc ("the Company")

Director Shareholding

The Company has been advised that Blue Planet Investments Limited, a company
owned by Mr K C Murray, a director of the Company, acquired on Thursday 8th
April  2004, 3,000 ordinary shares of 50p each in the Company ("ordinary
shares") at 55p per share.

Mr Murray is, following this acquisition, beneficially interested in 2,320,000
ordinary shares (of which 1,557,000 are held by Blue Planet Investments Limited)
representing 16.27 per cent of the Company's issued ordinary share capital.
