            Bakery Services plc (the "Company" or "Bakery Services")

                              Directorate Changes

                                 2 January 2008

The Company is pleased to announce the admission to trading, today, of the 180
million new ordinary shares following the approval of all the resolutions put to
shareholders at the Company's General Meeting ("GM") on 28 December 2007. This
is the final condition of the sale of the entire issued share capital of Inbake
Limited and Don Millers Limited (the "Disposal") to Keith Bentley and David
Drury.

As a result of the completion of the Disposal, the Company confirms the
appointment of Andrew Hunt to the board of Bakery Services, as announced on 5
December 2007. In addition, both Messrs Bentley and Drury have resigned as
directors and employees of the Company. These changes to the board of directors
are with immediate effect.
