    Global Minerals share purchase

    Bateman Engineering has been informed by Global Minerals B.V. that a related party to Global Minerals B.V. has, on 22 December 2008,
purchased an additional 770,000 shares in the Company at an average price of 15 pence per share.
    The aggregate shareholding of Global Minerals B.V. and its associated companies in Bateman Engineering has therefore increased from
27,982,048 shares (64.02% of the total number of shares in issue) to 28,752,048 shares (65.78% of the total number of shares in issue).
