Global Minerals share purchase

Bateman Engineering has been informed by Global Minerals B.V. that a related party to Global Minerals B.V, has on 19 December 2008
purchased an additional 770,434 shares in the Company at an average price of 14.8p per share.
The aggregate shareholding of Global Minerals B.V. and its associated companies in Bateman Engineering has therefore increased from
27,211,614 shares (62.26% of the total number of shares in issue) to 27,982,048 shares (64.02% of the total number of shares in issue).
