                         Atlantic goes live in Berlin


Atlantic Telecom Group PLC, a leading European broadband telecoms provider,
today announces the third phase of its pan-European DSL service has gone live
in Berlin. The service will offer high speed Internet access to a potential
market of 150,000 SMEs throughout the Berlin area.


Atlantic will be marketing its new service, which allows broadband Internet
access at speeds up to 2.3Mbits/s, initially through ISP partners, followed by
its own direct sales channels.


Atlantic is one of the first companies to install symmetrical digital
subscriber line (SDSL) broadband technology in Germany. The company intends to
rapidly roll out its service across the rest of its key markets in Germany and
is on target for its planned roll out into 750 German exchanges.


Services in Frankfurt went live in June this year, Munich in September and
Hamburg is scheduled to follow by the end of this year. It is estimated that
the Berlin area is home to around 15% of Atlantic's SME-based target market in
Germany.
