The Asian Technology Trust Plc

Further to the announcement by the Board of Directors of The Asian Technology
Trust plc (the "Company") of 15 November 2002, and in advance of its
Extraordinary General Meeting to be held on 11 December 2002 at which a
resolution will be proposed that the Company be placed into voluntary
liquidation, dealings in the Company's shares of US$0.10 each and its warrants
on the London Stock Exchange have been suspended with effect from 7.30 a.m.
today.
