Transaction in own shares

The Company announces that on 31 October 2008 it purchased 200,000 of its own
Ordinary shares of 10p each at a price of �0.825 per share. The shares have
been purchased for cancellation.

In addition to these transactions 22,000 shares from treasury are required to
be cancelled to ensure the Company holds no more than 10% of its current shares
in issue in treasury.

Following these repurchases the Company has 8,792,438 Ordinary shares held in
treasury. The number of shares in issue is now 87,930,319. The number of shares
in issue, less those held in treasury, is 79,137,881.
