of Charter European Trust PLC (UK) into Charter Pan-European Trust PLC (UK),
FTSE announces the following changes:

                                         weighting of 100%.


FTSE All-Share                           Charter European Trust will be deleted.        30 April 2002



                                         Charter Pan-European Trust will be added in
                                         the index as detailed above


FTSE CAP All-Share                       Charter European Trust will be deleted.        30 April 2002
