Perstorp introduces new organization

Focus on growth in specialist chemical segments

Perstorp is currently implementing a new organization in order to facilitate the
Group's focus on continued growth in selected segments of the specialty chemical
market and to prepare its Pergo flooring operations for a spin-off to Perstorp
shareholders and a separate stock exchange listing.

"The Perstorp Group's aim is to be a specialty chemical company with a global
orientation. We will focus on specialist products, such as various performance
chemicals and composite materials that have the potential to generate healthy
margins and high growth. In order to further strengthen our profitability and
competitiveness, continued acquisitions of companies will be considered within
the selected market niches," says Ake Fredriksson, Perstorp's President and
Chief Executive Officer.

During the past ten years, Perstorp's chemical operations have noted average
growth of 10%, mainly organic, and an operating margin (EBIT) of 12%. The
Group's operations occupy leading positions in several market segments and
manufacturing is conducted on four continents.

After the changes have been implemented, the Group's management will comprise an
Executive Committee with eight members. The members will be President and Chief
Executive Officer Ake Fredriksson, Chief Financial Officer Magnus Lindquist and
Martin Lundin, Vice President Human Resources, as well as the four division
presidents of the Group's chemical operations, Martin Lundin, who was formerly
an employee within Perstorp's Human Resources function, is now rejoining the
Group after a period during which he has managed his own consulting firm in the
area. Raimo Issal, acting president of Pergo, will also be a member of the
Executive Committee until the separate listing of Pergo has been completed.

The operational activities in the chemical sector will be organized in four
divisions and the former Perstorp Chemicals subgroup will cease to exist.
Perstorp's new divisions in the chemical sector will be:

* Perstorp Speciality Chemicals, which mainly comprises basic polyol and
specialty polyol operations. Sales will total approximately SEK 3,000 million.
Ake Fredriksson will be acting president.

* Perstorp Chemitec will mainly consist of resin and molding compound
operations. Sales will total about SEK 1,550 million. Bengt Danielsson will be
president.

* Perstorp Composites will be the name of a new division focusing on the
expansive composites segment. Sales will total approximately SEK 350 million.
Anders Lundin will be president.

* Perstorp Formox will focus on formalin technology and catalysts, as well as
the production and sale of formalin from the units in Sweden and the
Netherlands. Sales will total about SEK 750 million. Claes Lundstrom will be
president.

In line with the Group's future orientation toward growth in specialist segments
of the chemical market, the business development operations conducted by Pernovo
AB will be transferred to the divisions concerned, whose development efforts
will be focused even more strongly on organic growth and supplementary
acquisitions in selected market segments.

Up to the implementation of its planned spin-off and market listing, Pergo will
continue to operate as a subgroup of Perstorp AB. Prior to the spin-off, the
laminate operations conducted within Perstorp Declam AB (formerly
Laminatproduktion) will be transferred to Pergo.
