CHANGES IN PERSTORP AB'S CORPORATE MANAGEMENT

Virve Meesak has decided to leave her position as Executive Vice President Human
Resources within the Perstorp Group to take up a similar position at Avanza, an
Internet brokerage.

Perstorp's Personnel Manager, Per Karlsson, who is currently responsible for
human resources issues in the Group's Swedish operations, has been appointed
acting Executive Vice President Human Resources.

"It is regrettable that Virve has decided to leave Perstorp, although I view
this move as a logical consequence of the ongoing integration of our Group
functions with corresponding functions within Perstorp Chemicals", says Ake
Fredriksson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Perstorp.

In view of the planned flotation of Pergo, Perstorp's flooring operations, the
Perstorp Group has decided to introduce a new Group-wide organization, which
will become effective on January 1, 2001.
