Virtual Ed Link, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: VRED) -- Dr. Alan McCartney, COO of Virtual Ed Link (www.virtualedlink.org) announced today its plans to include an Internet Security Online eLearning Course as part of its integrated Safety and Security Management System (SSMS).

The FCC has proposed web-safety education. Schools and libraries receiving federal e-Rate funding would have to submit proof that they have implemented internet safety education programs along with their e-Rate applications, according to a new Notice of Proposed Rulemaking issued by the Federal Communications Commission. This was a major topic of discussion at the Annual Joint Education Association Convention in Atlantic City attended by approximately 10,000 school board members, school administrators and school business officials. They jointly represent the education and related health and safety interests of New Jersey's 1.4 million public school students.

Virtual Ed Link, in conjunction with WISE eLearning Solutions, is currently developing this on-line (web based) course for adults. This version of the course (60 minutes) is designed for parents, grandparents, and legal guardians responsible for the safety and well-being of children. This course will provide them with a better understanding of how children are using the Internet and will assist them in dealing with Internet-related threats. They will learn how to monitor their child's online activities, how to block certain types of content, and employ safe computing practices.

Virtual Ed Link management believes the new courseware will be available for release in early March and ready for deployment to schools and organizations nationally. The student version is slated for development and release at a later date.
