Norwegian telecom company Telenor ASA (TEL.OS) said Friday that
a Russian court has ended a case brought against the company by the
Russian Federal Antimonopoly Service in a case concerning Telenor's
purchase of shares in VimpelCom Ltd. (VIP).
The Russian regulator this month sent a request to the Moscow
Arbitration Court to withdraw its claims against Telenor and the
withdrawal was Friday accepted by the court, terminating the
case.
The claims, relating to the Norwegian company's increase of its
stake in VimpelCom, were originally filed in April.
At 1347 GMT, shares traded 0.7% higher at NOK115.10.
