Mr. Lance Larsen, President and CEO of Smart Ventures, Inc. (Pink Sheets:SMVR), today expanded his explanation of the economic advantages of the “Smart Steel” mini steel plants.

1. Each plant is geographically located in the center of an area with adequate scrap metal supplies. Drawing raw materials from a 100 kilometer (Approximately 65 miles) radius keeps transportation costs to an absolute minimum.

2. Delivery of rolled steel products, including rebar, screening and mesh to the construction industry, primarily within that same radius should result in extremely competitive pricing and increased margins, again due to minimum transportation costs.

3. Streamlined, more efficient processing including the very latest in automation, robotics and enhanced performance from the latest in electric arc furnace technology will keep costs to a minimum.

4. The goal of employing 100 to 150 production people for each plant indicates that 1,000 metric tons of product per employee or production of 100,000 to 150,000 tons of product per year, per installation should be easily obtainable.

Mr. Larsen emphasized that it is not Smart’s goal to be the biggest, but the very best; and should deliver the maximum return on investment. He also stated that the first production facility is already under construction in Surovikino in the Russian Federation, the equipment has been ordered and is currently being fabricated. In the meantime, work is proceeding in completing the takeover by Smart Ventures, Inc. of Metal Assets, the process patents owner and main owner of European assets.
