Daimler AG (DDAIY) is considering expanding cooperation between its Mercedes-Benz division and Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. (NSANY)'s Infiniti brand, Bloomberg News reported Wednesday on its website, citing two unnamed sources.

The plan for Daimler to share its small-car platform--instead of only supplying diesel and gasoline engines to Infiniti as in the original agreement--might be discussed within the next day at a joint news conference by Daimler Chief Executive Officer Dieter Zetsche and Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn, according to the report.

Daimler and Nissan declined comment, the report said.
