GSLO Expects First U.S. Volt Solar Charger Shipment in Next 30 Days

GoSolarUSA (PinkSheets:GSLO) President and CEO Tyson Rohde said today that the company expects its first shipment of Volt Solar Chargers to arrive in the U.S. sometime in the next 30 days.

GSLO initiated the mass production of the Volt Solar Charger late last month in preparation for the device’s hotly anticipated North American debut. The Volt is a new smartphone accessory designed to extend the Apple iPhone’s battery life using a top-of-the-line, built-in solar panel and a 1500 mAh rechargeable battery. Upon its arrival, the Volt will go on sale bundled with a one-year warranty.

“We’re ready to receive that first shipment of units and get them in the hands of iPhone users,” Rohde said. “The number of iPhone users in North America is exploding, and we’re anticipating high consumer demand for the Volt Solar Charger.”

In January, GoSolarUSA signed a distribution agreement with the Volt’s Chinese developer, Xiamen Solar Electronics (XSE), giving GSLO the exclusive right to sell and distribute the device in North America, the world’s largest market for iPhone accessories. A month later, the company approved samples of the device and finalized the Volt’s retail packaging.

With Apple doing phenomenal business in recent months and demand for smartphone accessories at an all-time high, Rohde said the first shipment of Volt Solar Chargers to reach American shores may not last long.
