Viyya Technologies, Inc. (Pink Sheets: VYON), the developer and
marketer of the world's most advanced, web-based information
management application, announced today that it has signed an
agreement to acquire SaraX Software's Security Operations Portal.
Viyya currently distributes the popular Security Operations Portal
as part of its portfolio of business intelligence and knowledge
management products. This latest agreement would grant Viyya full
ownership of the portal technology and full rights to all future
revenue generated from the sale of this product. The SaraX Security
Operations Portal allows organizations to quickly and
cost-effectively implement a viable IT solution that immediately
enables security and intelligence throughout an entire enterprise.
The software can support and scale to the needs of any size
business, delivering critical, focused, real-time intelligence to
management and executives within an organization. "The Viyya and
SaraX management teams have been working very closely following our
recent reseller agreement, which resulted in the addition of the
SaraX Security Operations Portal to Viyya's product suite," said
John Bay, CEO of Viyya Technologies. "This purchase was a logical
next step for both companies, as it expands Viyya's product
portfolio to include proprietary core technology that fits
perfectly into our public and private security sector marketing
plans." The Security Operations Portal is specifically constructed
to serve the needs and requirements of Information Technology (IT)
and Physical Security Officers in government and corporate America.
In the post 9-11 world, real-time information is critical to the
safety and well-being of employees and citizens. The combined
technologies of VIYYA(TM) and the Security Operations Portal will
provide the using entity with superior methods of intelligence and
information gathering and collaboration. The combined product suite
has already been unveiled to targeted State Agencies and
Authorities with excellent feedback, according to Viyya management.
In its Federal IT Security Market View report, INPUT, a
Virginia-based government market services firm recently forecast
that by 2009, government IT security spending will eclipse the $7
billion mark. Meanwhile, private sector IT spending on security
software and programs is projected to exceed $80 billion this year,
and at the industry's projected annual growth rate of 4.5 percent,
could exceed $100 billion by 2009, according to Gartner research.
