Customizable offerings assist with policies and
procedures and consumer compliance
In an effort to further simplify compliance with current and
future regulatory issues, Computer Services, Inc. (CSI) (OTCQX:
CSVI) has introduced two new compliance offerings: WatchDOG® Elite
Policies and Procedures and Consumer Compliance. Both solutions
leverage CSI’s team of compliance experts to enable institutions to
enhance the overall compliance of their operations with the
greatest of ease.
CSI’s WatchDOG Elite Policies and Procedures solution allows
users to streamline the review, preparation and update of necessary
IT policies, procedures and forms to ensure compliance with the IT
General Control standards for FFIEC and other related regulations.
As the building blocks for compliance success, developing and
maintaining effective IT policies and procedures requires
significant time and attention. By implementing CSI’s WatchDOG
Elite Policies and Procedures, organizations can:
- Standardize the process and format for
all policies and procedures;
- Simplify policy approvals and end-user
acceptance with built-in workflow;
- Manage and store policies in a single
portal to reduce complexities; and
- Enhance reporting capabilities to
better track policy approval and acceptance.
Beyond providing a policy management software solution, WatchDOG
Elite Policies and Procedures also includes access to CSI’s team of
regulatory experts. The certified team of compliance experts can
assist users in developing effective policies and procedures across
a variety of IT areas, such as access control, authentication,
personnel security, incident response and change management
administration.
“The industry’s current regulatory environment presents a
significant challenge for institutions of every size, so we
continually search for ways to provide organizations with more
efficient methods of managing compliance,” said Paul Koziarz,
president and general manager of CSI’s Regulatory Compliance
Division. “Because each institution has a unique set of needs, our
latest compliance solutions provide a high level of customization
in order to address the regulations deemed most necessary by the
institution with the appropriate level of expert support.”
In addition, CSI’s team of experts play a key role in helping
financial institutions manage the latest regulations protecting
consumers as part of its new Consumer Compliance solution. The new
Managed Compliance Service helps financial institutions better
manage consumer protection regulations by providing both
Self-Assessment and Review Services to ensure the unique compliance
needs of each institution are fully addressed.
Through the Self-Assessment Service, CSI provides users with
expert developed tools to help conduct a compliance self-assessment
of the institution through a series of questionnaires based on the
latest consumer regulations, including the Community Reinvestment
Act (CRA) and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA). In addition, CSI’s Consumer
Compliance also offers a Review Service, which provides an on-site
assessment of the institution’s overall compliance program. The
assessment, which is conducted by a CSI compliance expert,
includes:
- Assessment of current state of
compliance through staff interviews and review of current policies
and procedures;
- Review of previous audits and
examinations;
- Transaction testing;
- Comprehensive review reporting,
including test results, management responses and key
recommendations; and
- Personalized access to CSI’s staff of
compliance experts.
“Just as new consumer regulations require financial institutions
to constantly adjust compliance processes, we must evolve as a
technology provider to ensure our solutions meet the changing needs
of our customers,” Koziarz said. “Backed by an expert compliance
team boasting more than 100 years of combined regulatory
experience, CSI remains dedicated to not only simplifying
compliance for our customers, but also offering solutions that
prevent operational issues as new regulations are introduced.”
