Vinci, Balfour Beatty JV Awarded Lots N1 and N2 of Main HS2 Civil Engineering Contract

Vinci SA said Wednesday that it has been awarded a contract for
lots N1 and N2 of HS2's main civil engineering works package in the
U.K. in a 50:50 joint venture with U.K. builder Balfour Beatty
PLC.
The French construction and infrastructure company said the
joint venture was awarded the contract on April 1, with the two
lots valued around 5.75 billion euros ($6.29 billion).
Vinci added that work should start in the summer of 2020 and
last 74 months.
