Ranger Energy Ltd. ("Ranger" or the "Corporation") (TSX VENTURE:RGG.H) is
pleased to announce today that it has completed its previously announced rights
offering (the "Rights Offering"). At closing, Ranger issued 5,302,362 common
shares of Ranger at a price of $0.10 per share for gross proceeds of $530,236.
The Rights Offering was fully subscribed for and the common shares were issued
to persons who exercised rights issued under the Rights Offering as described in
the rights offering circular of the Corporation dated December 11, 2009. The
Corporation intends to use the proceeds of the Rights Offering to fund general
working capital and capital expenditures of the Corporation. 


The Corporation has begun to evaluate international resource opportunities.
