(TSX.V-NQ) ("Northquest" or "the Company") announces that it has commenced the first phase of exploratory drilling at the Dar Salam Gold Project, Mali, West Africa. The project consists of a 75 square kilometre exploration permit and a contiguous area of 145 square kilometres of mineral rights under application, located in western Mali.  This initial phase of drilling will consist of approximately 2,000 metres of reverse circulation drilling in approximately 15 drill holes. The results of this drilling program will be released upon receipt and verification of the drilling assays.
