NCM Goldon Resources Ltd.

Newcastle Minerals Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:NCM) is pleased to announce that drilling
has commenced at its 100% owned Chester Project located in northwestern Ontario,
Canada.


The two-unit, 30-hectare claim lies approximately one kilometre north of
Trelawney Mining and Exploration Inc.'s Cote Lake deposit, which currently
stands at 131 million tonnes averaging 1.0 g/t gold for 4.22 million ounces of
contained gold at a cut-off grade of 0.30 g/t gold. The limits of the deposit
have not been defined. 


A recently completed ground I.P. survey along with a combined ground magnetic
and electromagnetic survey last spring by Newcastle identified potential
extensions of mineralized structures trending off Trelawney's ground onto
Newcastle's Chester Project. Newcastle's drilling will focus on these potential
extensions, as well as test additional magnetic, electromagnetic and I.P.
anomalies identified in the two surveys.


Ontario Geological Survey mapping from 1980 recorded both felsic-intermediate
metavolcanics with quartz veins/pods and "migmatitic" (or intermediate-felsic
intrusive) rocks listed as massive hornblende diorite also with quartz veins.
The possible extension of the mineralized zone from Trelawney's property appears
to align itself with a coincidental Mag-VLF anomaly on Newcastle's Chester
property, which appears prospective.

Clark, P. Geo., of Clark Exploration Consulting Inc., who acts as Newcastle's
Qualified Person as defined by National Instrument 43-101.
