VANCOUVER, B.C. -
Mission Ready Services Inc. ("Mission Ready" or "MRSI") is pleased
to provide the following update on the operations of its
wholly-owned subsidiary, 10-20 Services Inc. ("10-20" or "the
Company").
10-20 has
been providing services to one of the largest prime contractors of
the US Army for the inspection, decontamination/cleaning and repair
of gear returned from the field through SOCOM'S Special Operations
Personal Equipment Advanced Requirements (SPEAR) program. 10-20 is
cleaning and restoring SPEAR equipment at an average cost of 9% of
its replacement value, saving the US Army SOCOM over $3.4 million
in the past six months. 10-20 has recently been issued a purchase
order to continue this service throughout 2014.
10-20 was
also awarded a contract in October 2013 to clean interceptor outer
tactical vests ("IOTV") for the US Army and began work in December
2013. 10-20 cleaned 3,000 vests during the first month as part of a
US Army program to clean 74,000 IOTV's over the next 18-20 months.
With an estimated replacement cost savings in excess of $50 million
to the US Army, the total project value is approximately $1.9
million.
Led by
retired US Army Acquisitions Corps Major Clay Williamson, 10-20 was
formed to provide logistics services and product sales to the U.S.
Federal Government and their contractors. Since inception, 10-20
has achieved and built upon numerous successes including the launch
of military cleaning and repair facilities adjacent to both Joint
Base Lewis-McCord ("JBLM") in Washington and Fort Bragg, North
Carolina - the world's largest military base. Additionally, the
Company operates a kiosk on the JBLM base to serve the individual
soldier market and gain exposure for the 10-20 Services at the base
level.
"There is
a definite and immediate demand for the highly effective and cost
efficient services that we are able to offer through 10-20 and we
are working fast to deploy more cleaning systems in more regions
across the US to meet this need. We are in the process of
automating many systems such as process monitoring to free up
personnel to continue their focus on quality and care while
ensuring a quick turn-around for 10-20 clients", says Clay
Williamson, President of 10-20 Services Inc.
The
Company currently employs 32 people, with 73% of these having a
military affiliation as either a veteran or spouse of a current or
retired soldier. The Company operates two shifts per day at the
JBLM facility to process SPEAR and on-base kiosk gear. The 10,000
Sq Ft. Fort Bragg facility also operates two shifts and utilizes
three Advanced Cleaning Systems. The Company employs a retired US
Army logistics specialist and a retired US Command Sergeant Major
to manage the Fort Bragg and JBLM facilities,
respectively.
Rod Reum,
CEO of Mission Ready states, "It is our intention to redefine the
parameters by which military and first responder equipment is
cleaned and repaired in terms of cost, quality, service and
turn-around time. We have built a team of highly qualified
individuals to help the Company achieve its aggressive growth
strategy and continue to provide unparalleled services for soldiers
and other first responders who serve to protect us."
