Full Metal Minerals Ltd. (TSX VENTURE: FMM) is pleased to announce
the results of an extensive surface mapping, rock and soil sampling
program from the 100% owned Nadaleen Zinc-Lead-Silver Project,
Yukon.
The Nadaleen Project area comprises six prospects staked by Full
Metal, targeting carbonate-replacement style deposit (CRD) hosting
widespread silver-lead-zinc mineralization.
High grade mineralization was discovered along 3,200 meters of
strike length at the DF Prospect. Numerous occurrences of
outcropping massive sulphides were identified; 18 surface samples
assaying over 65 g/t Ag averaged 298 g/t Ag, 26.9% Pb and 5.4% Zn.
Five of these samples averaged over 500 g/t Ag, up to 688 g/t Ag. A
total of 46 rock samples were collected at the DF Prospect,
averaging 120 g/t Ag, 10.7% Pb and 5.2% Zn. Samples range from to
trace values to 688 g/t Ag, 67.2% Pb and 19.4% Zn. A total of 118
soil samples were collected in reconnaissance traverses, returning
multiple anomalous areas; silver values range from trace to 4.1 g/t
Ag, averaging 0.8 g/t, lead values range from 12 to 2,200 ppm Pb,
averaging 299 ppm and zinc values range from 72 to 7,150 ppm Zn,
averaging 911 ppm. Rock samples are mostly chip and grab samples
collected through prospecting.
This new occurrence of high-grade mineralization is Full Metal's
second grass-root silver-lead-zinc discovery in the Yukon during
2008. The Company recently announced results from the Angie-Cat
SEDEX program (see FMM NR# 2009 - 01, January 6th, 2009).
Mineralization at the DF prospect is dominantly breccia and
replacement style pyrite, sphalerite and galena with local
chalcopyrite. Samples are also anomalous in arsenic and antimony;
gold was not analyzed, however samples are being run for gold
content. All prospects occur within a sequence of platformal
Proterozoic carbonates. Large zones of secondary dolomitization
occur proximal to mineralized zones.
At the CYP Prospect, work completed during 2008 outlined a
greater than 150 meter wide, 5,500 meter long multi-element soil
anomaly (greater than 50 ppm Pb, greater than 1000 ppm Zn).
Mineralized float has been traced for over 6,700 meters in the
upper portions of a late Proterozoic dolomite. One drill hole
completed at the CYP prospect in 1973 reportedly intersected 8.3%
Zn over 23.8 meters. Additional historic holes reportedly failed to
reach their target depths due to mechanical problems. Soil samples
were collected on a 50 meters by 200 meter grid, and the CYP is
open to expansion to the east. During the summer of 2008, 891
samples were collected; soil samples range from 11 to 36,300 ppm
Zn, average 834 ppm Zn and 27 to 2,250 ppm Pb, average 91 ppm
Pb.
Prospecting, mapping and soil sampling were also completed on
several other targets at the Nadaleen Project. Maps with soil and
rock sampling results can be reviewed at

The Nadaleen Project area occurs within one of the most
extensive regions of CRD identified worldwide. Hundreds of CRD
occurrences have been identified in the Platformal Carbonates of
the Eastern Yukon and Western NWT, including the Goz Deposit,
currently being explored by Tarsis Capital Corp. Minimal
exploration has been performed in this area since the 1970's. Full
Metal intends to follow-up this discovery with further surface
exploration and diamond drilling.
Full Metal's 2008 exploration program was supervised by Robert
McLeod, P.Geo., Vice President Exploration, for Full Metal Minerals
Ltd., a Qualified Person as defined by NI 43-101, who has prepared
and approved the information contained in this release. Soil
samples were collected by experienced technicians, and placed in
sealed bags for shipment to the ALS-Chemex Labs facility in
Vancouver, B.C. for analysis. A sample quality control/quality
assurance program was implemented.
Full Metal is a generative exploration company with multiple
precious and base metal projects in Alaska and the Yukon. Full
Metal is completing a bulk sample to confirm the continuity of
high-grade gold mineralization within the Lucky Shot shear. The
Company has Joint Venture Agreements with Kinross Gold, Freeport
McMoRan, BHP Billiton, Mosam Capital, Triex Minerals, Altair
Ventures, Highbury Projects, and Ashburton Ventures Inc.
