Castle Peak Mining Ltd. ("Castle Peak" or "the Company") (TSX VENTURE: CAP), is pleased to announce the appointment of Darren Lindsay to the Company's Board of Directors, following the approval of a shareholder resolution at the annual general meeting last week.

Mr. Lindsay is currently Castle Peak's President and Chief Executive Officer, and is a professional geoscientist with 15 years experience in exploration geology for precious and base metals in North and South America. He played a key role on the team involved with the expansion and feasibility level studies of the multi-million ounce Madrid and Doris gold deposits in Hope Bay, Nunavut, with Miramar Mining Corporation and later Newmont Mining Corporation. He has also worked with other junior and senior companies, including BHP Minerals Canada Ltd, Inmet Mining Corporation, and Kodiak Exploration Limited.

Chairman Brian Lock said, "Darren's experience developing gold deposits will be of great benefit to the Company as we move forward with our exploration program at the Akorade project. This appointment rounds out the Board's skill set with advanced projects experience and will enhance our ability to deliver shareholder value."
