Bluedrop Performance Learning (TSX-V: BPL), today announced the appointment of The Honourable Bob Rae, former Premier of Ontario, to its Board of Directors. Mr. Rae served as Ontario’s 21st Premier from 1990 to 1995, was elected eleven times to federal and provincial parliaments, and from 2011-2013 was Interim Leader of the Liberal Party of Canada.

Over a career that spans 30 years, he has worked at the highest levels of government in Canada. He brings expertise in a wide range of areas to Bluedrop’s board, including corporate strategy and governance, government relations; international trade; and workforce and economic development.

“Bob’s experience leading North America’s 7th largest economy and his experience in legal and corporate strategy are assets for Bluedrop,” said Emad Rizkalla, founder and CEO of Bluedrop. “We are impressed with Bob’s passion and insights for tackling the skills gap issue in Canada. Governments in both developed and developing economies are struggling to keep pace with changes in the labour market and we look forward to Bob’s guidance as we develop and promote our CoursePark® platform as way to address the skills gap,” Rizkalla added.

Commenting on the appointment, Mr. Rae said, “I am encouraged by the innovation and passion Bluedrop brings to tackling long-standing problems in workforce development and small business training. I hope to make a positive contribution to the Board. I have been following the company's work for some time and was very honoured to ask to join this innovative company as a director."
