Archean Star Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:ASP) (the "Company") is pleased to
announce that at the annual and special shareholders meeting held on Friday,
August 30th, 2013, the shareholders elected Bernie Sostak, Aidan Anthony Nania,
Gregor Maximillian Theiser and Evan Jones to the Board of Directors. 


Bernie Sostak is a geologist with over 20 years experience in the gold mining
industry. Mr Sostak is currently the General Manager of Business Development and
Technical Services for ASX listed Northern Star Resources, prior to this role he
was Director of Resource and Reserve Strategy for Barrick Gold Corp. His
experience includes mine geology, resource estimations, exploration, mine
planning and general operations management.


Aidan Anthony Nania is an Investment Banker and Managing Director of Element
Capital Partners, an investment arm of Element Commodities Group, with interests
in Mining, Oil&Gas. Mr Nania was previously Head of Investment Banking in
Australia for Casimir Capital L.P, a natural resources focused Investment Bank.


Gregor Maximillian Theiser is the CEO and Founder of Element Commodities Group,
a physical commodities trading and investment group. Mr Theiser has previously
held senior positions with Glencore in Beijing and Noble Group in Hong Kong as
head for Minerals and FerroAlloys. He holds a Master's degree in Business
Administration and Sinology from Vienna University of Economics.


Evan Jones is the Chief Executive Officer, President and Director of TSX-V
listed companies, Altan Rio Minerals Limited and Altan Nevada Minerals Limited.
Mr Jones' has had over ten years of experience in corporate advisory and
commercial management in the mining industry, including six years based in
developing countries has a enabled him to build business networks and negotiate
opportunities. He holds a Bachelor of Information Technology (Information
Systems) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance & Management) from Bond University
in Australia.


Clay Conway and John Pegg declined to stand for reappointment to the Board of
Directors and Mr. Graeme O'Neill was not elected to the Board of Directors. The
Company wishes to thank the departing directors for their contribution to the
Company and wish them well in their future endeavors.


The Company advises that the shareholders' meeting was adjourned for seven days
in order to consider the resolution to amend the Company's Articles as referred
to in the Supplement dated August 8, 2013 to the Management Information Circular
dated July 19th, 2013. The time in which proxies can be deposited has been
extended to the commencement of the reconvened meeting, scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
on Friday, September 6th at Suite 1000, 840 Howe Street, Vancouver, British
Columbia. 


Archean Star Resources Inc., is a junior exploration company listed on the TSX
Venture Exchange that has, through its wholly owned subsidiary, Archean Star
Resources Australia Pty Ltd, earned 100% of Teck Australia Pty Ltd.'s ("Teck")
approximately 88% interest, subject to a 75% back in right in such interest to
Teck, in Chalice Gold Mines Limited's Gnaweeda Gold Project in Western
Australia. The Company is also earning an 80% interest in AMCOR's Monitor
Copper, Gold and Silver project in the Coeur D'Alene Mining District in Idaho.
