India's Marksans Pharma Ltd. (524404.BY) said Tuesday it has received approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to make and sell generic liquid-filled ibuprofen capsules in 200-milligram dosage.

Marksans has begun manufacturing the anti-inflammatory drug at its facility in the western Indian state of Goa, the company said in a statement to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

The capsules are a generic equivalent of Wyeth Consumer Healthcare's Advil Liqui-Gels, it said.
