Wilmington Trust, a leading provider of institutional trustee,
agency, and administrative services through its Corporate Client
Services (CCS) business, announced today the addition of Tanvir
Mukhtar-Zahid to the group’s Client Development team.
Ms. Mukhtar-Zahid joins Wilmington Trust’s Client Development
team in London, which is responsible for presenting the company’s
full range of specialized trust and administrative services to
corporate clients throughout Europe. Ms. Mukhtar-Zahid reports to
Douglas Lavelle, vice president and the New York-based leader of
global sales and marketing efforts for CCS’s Corporate Capital
Markets Services group, and Christophe Schroeder, the London-based
executive managing director of CCS’s European business.
Wilmington Trust has steadily built its CCS business globally in
recent years, particularly in Europe. In October, the company
announced its “One Global Model” initiative, which is designed to
reinforce its ability to serve corporate clients in global capital
markets and accelerate growth. The initiative is under the
direction of Daniel R. Fisher, head of the Global Finance Division
within CCS’s Corporate Capital Markets Services group. The company
currently operates in several preferred jurisdictions for corporate
business outside of the United States and beyond London, including
Dublin, Frankfurt, Luxembourg, Amsterdam, the Cayman Islands, and
the Channel Islands.
“Our clients can access multiple services in multiple
jurisdictions through a single service provider with decades of
experience,” said Mr. Lavelle. “We are delighted to welcome Tanvir
to our team, and believe that she will be a terrific asset to our
clients.”
Ms. Mukhtar-Zahid brings more than a decade of sales and
relationship management experience to Wilmington Trust. Most
recently, she was a business consultant providing sales and
marketing strategic advice. Previously, she served as vice
president of relationship sales in the corporate trust division of
JPMorgan Chase in London working with investment banking clients.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Mukhtar-Zahid was marketing manager for
Thomson Reuters and conference manager with Euromoney Institutional
Investor PLC. She began her career as an accountant for
PriceWaterhouseCoopers. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the
University of Warwick.
CCS’s core services include entity management services, which
help clients establish legal standing by supporting the
administration of holding companies and special purpose vehicles;
capital markets services, including trustee and agency services
that support global capital markets transactions, such as debt
restructurings, project finance deals, and structured finance
deals; trust and custody services for corporate retirement plans;
and institutional investment management services. As a result of
the global financial crisis and economic recession in recent years,
demand has increased for several CCS offerings, including services
that support distressed debt, loan administration, and corporate
bankruptcies. CCS is distinguished from many of its competitors by
its status as a core business, the experience and expertise of its
global staff, its independence by virtue of not having lending or
securities underwriting conflicts, its multi-jurisdictional
presence, and its reputation for superior service and
execution.
