Intermec Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UNA) today was awarded EPCglobal RFID Hardware Certification Marks at the EPCglobal US Conference 2005 in Atlanta. The EPCglobal Hardware Certification Marks are specific to Intermec's 915 MHz and 865 MHz IM5 RFID reader modules, which are used in Intermec's fixed RFID IF5 smart reader, fixed RFID IF4 serial reader, mobile RFID IV7 vehicle reader and the PM4i printer/encoder. A Generation 2 multi-protocol firmware upgrade will be available in Q4 2005.
