FAIRFAX, Va., April 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SRA International, Inc. (NYSE:SRX), a leading provider of technology and strategic consulting services and solutions to federal government organizations, today announced that the company has received the distinguished "Circle of Humanitarians" award as well as the Hurricane Season 2005 plaque from the American Red Cross. The awards honor those who have made a significant contribution to the American Red Cross and its hurricane relief efforts. Through employee donations and a company match, SRA raised nearly $150,000 for American Red Cross programs designed to provide aid and comfort to individuals recovering from recent hurricanes. "We are thankful for, and applaud, the significant contribution SRA has made to help those affected by recent hurricanes. It is through these types of generous gifts that the American Red Cross is able to continue the work we do," said Judith Ostronic, National Chair, Biomedical Services, American Red Cross. "As we have seen with SRA and others, employee initiative combined with support from top management has had a remarkable impact on disaster relief efforts." The Hurricane Season 2005 plaque recognizes companies that participated in employee giving and corporate matching gift programs in support of relief efforts following hurricanes Katrina, Rita, and Wilma. SRA's employee-based charity campaign raised nearly $146,000, including a company match of $50,000. Further, SRA's Hurricane Katrina Charitable Leave Donation Program, which enabled employees to convert unused annual or personal leave into cash donations for various charitable organizations, raised additional money for the American Red Cross. SRA also received the "Circle of Humanitarians" award, the American Red Cross' most distinguished award. The award recognizes those who have supported the organization with gifts of $50,000 or greater in any given year. "As a company committed to being a good corporate citizen, SRA strives to play an active part in helping out in the community wherever possible," commented Kay Curling, SRA Director of Work/Life Solutions. "SRA is honored to have been recognized by the American Red Cross and we applaud our employees who generously made donations and volunteered time toward hurricane relief."
