Billy K. Solomon Joins SRA Retired Three-Star Army General to
Support Work for Defense Deployment and Distribution Clients
FAIRFAX, Va., April 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SRA International,

announced that Billy K. Solomon has joined SRA as Vice President,
Deployment and Distribution Support. He will lead SRA's deployment
and distribution support business program, which provides several
Department of Defense (DoD) clients -- including the Military
Surface Deployment and Distribution Command, the Military Sealift
Command, the Defense Logistics Agency, and the Army Installation
Management Agency -- with IT services and solutions. "I'm pleased

capabilities in this area." Solomon has over 36 years of experience
in the U.S. Army, including senior positions in combat service
support. Prior to joining SRA, he served as President and Chief
Operating Officer of Metters Industries, Inc., a systems
engineering research and development firm and a small,
disadvantaged business and service-disabled, veteran-owned
business. Solomon retired from the Army in 2002 as a three-star
General. From 1999 to 2002, he was Commanding General, Combined
Arms Support Command and Fort Lee, Virginia, Deputy Commanding
General for Combined Arms Support, Training and Doctrine Command.
In this position, he led the development of Army doctrine,
training, material, and IT requirements for the Combat Service
Support Branches of the U.S. Army. From 1997 to 1999 he served as
the Director, Logistics and Security Assistance, U.S. Central
Command at MacDill Air Force Base; he was Chief of Staff for the
Army Materiel Command from 1995 to 1997; and from 1993 to 1995 he
was Assistant Chief of Staff for Logistics, U.S. forces in Korea.
