GSA Awards $86.4M Missile Defense Agency Contract to SRA Company to
Continue Support to Enterprise Information Management System
FAIRFAX, Va., March 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SRA International,
Inc. (NYSE:SRX), a leading provider of information technology
services and solutions to federal government organizations,
announced today that it has been awarded a competitive task order
by the U.S. General Services Administration's (GSA's) Federal
Systems Integration and Management Center (FEDSIM). SRA will
provide a broad range of IT services to support an enterprise
information management system (EIMS) for the U.S. Department of
Defense (DoD) Missile Defense Agency (MDA). The task order, awarded
under the Millennia contract, has an estimated value of $86.4
million over five years if all options are exercised. MDA manages,
directs, and executes one of the most technologically complex
programs ever undertaken by DoD. Partnered with all of the Military
Departments, other Federal agencies, the private sector, and major
research institutions, MDA's role is to facilitate the integration
of leading edge and emerging technologies into an effective
acquisition policy for missile defense. Since 2002, SRA has
provided information architecture and engineering support to help
establish an EIMS for MDA to enable it to better organize,
retrieve, secure, and store business and mission information and
data to aid in collaboration and decision making. Under this new
contract, SRA will continue to support the EIMS with program
management, IT management and development, systems engineering,
strategic and implementation planning, change management,
enterprise architecture maintenance and enhancement, and IT
training services. The SRA team includes Anteon International
Corporation; The Ambit Group; EagleForce Associates; Miltec
Corporation; Phacil, Inc.; and SNVC. "We are very pleased by the
