DRS Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: DRS) announced today that retired U.S. Army Lt. Gen. Jerry L. Sinn has joined its management team as senior vice president, land warfare strategic plans and programs. He will report to Michael L. Bowman, the company�s executive vice president, Washington Operations. General Sinn arrives at DRS after a stellar 38-year career in the U.S. Army. Prior to retiring this past December, he served as the Military Deputy for Budget to the Assistant Secretary of the Army, Financial Management and Comptroller, and before that, he served as the Director of the Army Budget for the Assistant Secretary of the Army. �Lt. Gen. Sinn was a leader and chief strategist regarding Army budget matters for the past eight years. His successful track record and vast array of experience will provide a valued resource that will enhance our ability to better serve our Army customers now and in the future,� said Mark S. Newman, chairman of the board, president and chief executive officer of DRS Technologies. General Sinn first joined the Army when he enlisted in 1968. He served in the Vietnam conflict as a "tunnel rat,� performing underground search-and-destroy missions in the very extensive underground tunnels and complexes that were pervasive in South Vietnam. Sinn�s other assignments after the Vietnam conflict included tours of duty with engineer battalions and brigades, infantry divisions, personnel centers, and training and doctrine commands. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri, the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College and the U.S. Army War College.
