Egypt's GASC Buys 120,000 Tons US, Argentine Wheat

Egypt's state-owned wheat buyer, the General Authority for
Supply Commodities, or GASC, said Wednesday it bought a total
120,000 metric tons of U.S. and Argentine wheat, for shipment May
11-20.
GASC bought 60,000 tons of U.S. wheat for $262.84 a metric ton
from Toepfer, according to a GASC official. The authority also
bought 60,000 tons of Argentine wheat from Cargill Inc. for
$259.35/ton.
The following bids were made on Wednesday afternoon:
Nidera:
55,000 tons of Ukrainian wheat at $277.26/ton freight on board
and 60,000 tons of Russian wheat $280.00/ton.
Glencore International PLC (GLNCY):
60,000 tons of Argentine wheat at $263.90/ton from two load
ports. And 60,000 tons of French wheat at $300.00/ton from two load
ports.
Venus:
60,000 tons of soft red winter wheat at $265.44/ton U.S.
Gulf.
Bunge Ltd. (BG):
60,000 tons of Argentine wheat at $264.00/ton U.S. Gulf.
Dreyfus:
60,000 tons of soft red winter wheat at $264.75/ton Mississippi
River.
Toepfer:
60,000 tons of soft red winter wheat at $262.84/ton U.S. Gulf.
And 55,000 tons of Argentine wheat at $259.75/ton from two load
ports.
Cargill Inc.:
60,000 tons of soft red winter wheat at $265.45/ton Mississippi
River and 60,000 tons of Argentine wheat at $259.45/ton from two
load ports.
