StepStone GmbH, a unit of German publishing house Axel Springer AG (SPR.XE), said Wednesday it has acquired the U.K.-based Totaljobs Group for around EUR132 million.

MAIN FACTS:

-Totaljobs Group operates the employment website Totaljobs.com in the U.K., and the deal to acquire all shares of Totaljobs from Reed Business Information Ltd was concluded March 31.

-Reed Business Information Ltd. is part of Reed Elsevier N.V. (ENL).

-Totaljobs employs over 340 people and more than seven million unique visitors use its platforms every month.

-StepStone will form a part of Axel Springer Digital Classified GmbH, a joint venture of Axel Springer and General Atlantic LLC, in which Axel Springer holds a 70% stake.

-The joint venture was set up in early March to launch a growth offensive in the digital classifieds market.
