CHARLOTTE, N.C., Oct. 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Goodrich Corporation
(NYSE: GR) will showcase its enhanced business jet interiors
capabilities at the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA)
show in Las Vegas, Oct. 10-12, 2011. Featured at the Goodrich booth
C6910 will be hardwood lumber which is now available as trim to
accompany its line of wood veneers and laser precision cutting
techniques for custom inlay projects. Both of these
technologies open new possibilities for enhanced business jet cabin
interiors, with precision grain matching and intricate wood inlays
now readily available.
Specific hardwood lumber to accompany an extensive palette of
wood veneers is ready for custom finishing work and can be
purchased in trim already cut to exact dimensions, in bulk as
square edge stock or in boule form (sequenced as the original
tree). "Interiors finishers can now benefit from having wood
veneer and lumber from the same specie – birdseye maple for example
– throughout their project. Laser cutting technology offers new
levels of intricacy that broaden the potential for detailed
multi-species wood marquetry designs or complex corporate logos
incorporated into business jet cabin interiors," said Rod Wilson, director of business development for
Goodrich's cabin systems business.
These new capabilities add to the business jet cabin seats,
divans, crew and observer seats, cabin lighting systems, molded
composites, custom cabinetry, custom veneers and furniture, cabin
management systems, in-flight entertainment systems, ice detection
and protection systems and potable water systems offered by
Goodrich and also on display at the show.
