Sumitomo Precision Products Selects Goodrich to Supply Integrated Brake System for Mitsubishi Regional Jet

SINGAPORE, Feb. 1, 2010 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SINGAPORE AIRSHOW
-- Goodrich Corporation (NYSE:GR) has been selected by Sumitomo
Precision Products Co., Ltd. to supply the integrated brake system
for the new Mitsubishi Regional Jet (MRJ) aircraft. The system will
become a part of Sumitomo's complete landing gear system for the
MRJ. Work will be performed by the Goodrich Aircraft Wheels and
Brakes business. The integrated brake system is comprised of the
main wheels and carbon brakes, the nose wheel, and the fully
digital brake control and antiskid system. The system will use
Goodrich's DURACARB® carbon brake heat sink material. The
successful service history of DURACARB has yielded a 35 percent
greater brake life than competing carbon braking materials,
resulting in significant cost saving for operators. "The selection
of Goodrich for the MRJ's integrated braking system expands the
presence of our state-of-the-art technology on this next-generation

70-90 seat class regional jet being developed to achieve
outstanding operational economy and cabin comfort. There are 125
aircraft currently on order for launch customers All Nippon Airways
and Trans States Holdings. First flight is expected in 2012 with
first deliveries commencing in 2014. Sumitomo Precision Products
Co., Ltd. was selected by Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation to
develop and integrate a complete landing gear system for the MRJ.
