Gateway Expands Availability of Gateway PCs in the United Kingdom Through Leading Electronics Retailer Comet

LONDON, Sept. 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Gateway, Inc. announced
today that its Gateway brand of notebook and desktop PCs as well as
flat-screen TFT displays will be available through leading retailer
Comet in the United Kingdom. Comet is part of KESA Electronics,
plc., a pan-European group operating in seven European countries.
For the back-to-school season, Comet will offer a notebook PC, two
desktop computer models and 17- and 19-inch LCD displays in a
limited number of its 250 stores nationwide. (Refer to Gateway news

Pentium(R) 4 640 processor (3.2GHz) with 64-bit Hyper-Threading
technology and a 250GB Serial ATA hard drive for enjoying digital
entertainment and productivity applications at a great price. For
mobile PC shoppers, Comet will make available the Gateway 8550GB
that combines desktop-class functionality and performance in the
convenience of a notebook with an impressive 17.1-inch WXGA
Ultrabright(TM) widescreen display. It will be offered for 999
British pounds. The Gateway 17-inch LCD display (FPD 1760) and
Gateway 19-inch display (FPD 1960) provide a sleek and thin design,
intuitive control menu, flexible placement options and digital
