Explanation of Responses:
( 1)  On October 16, 2014, the trust terminated in accordance with its terms following the death of the trust's settlor. Pursuant to the terms of the trust, the Reporting Person's spouse inherited 150 common units, which were deposited into a joint account of the Reporting Person and his spouse at the direction of the spouse.

Remarks:
The Reporting Person is the Chief Accounting Officer of Emerge Energy Services GP LLC, the general partner of the Issuer (the "General Partner"). The Issuer is managed by the directors and executive officers of the General Partner.
