Constellation Energy Donates Weather Station to Living Classrooms
Foundation BALTIMORE, July 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ --
Constellation Energy (NYSE:CEG) today announced the donation of a
state-of-the-art weather station to the Living Classrooms
Foundation, a Baltimore-based education outreach organization which
engages students academically through experiential learning. The
new Living Classrooms Constellation Energy Weather Station will be
used as a teaching tool by the organization's Crossroads School,
providing on-demand information such as temperature, wind speed and
barometric pressure. The weather station, which has been placed on
the tower of the school's East Harbor campus on South Caroline
Street, will allow students the opportunity to learn how to track
storms and other weather activity. "This is yet another opportunity
for Constellation Energy to make a meaningful contribution to the
educational efforts of the communities in which we live and work,"
said Stuart Rubenstein, chief operating officer of Constellation
Power Source, a subsidiary of Constellation Energy. "This donation
will provide students with an enhanced understanding of the
dynamics of weather and its impact on our daily lives and is a
natural extension of our relationship with Living Classrooms,
particularly Constellation Energy's mentoring efforts at The
Crossroads School." The Living Classrooms Constellation Energy
Weather Station will permit the company to expand its mentoring
activities. Currently, employees of Constellation Energy provide
ongoing academic support to 10 students at The Crossroads School.
