Constellation Energy General Counsel Charles A. Berardesco Recognized by the National LGBT Bar Association

Constellation Energy (NYSE: CEG) today announced that Charles A.
Berardesco, senior vice president, general counsel, corporate
secretary and chief compliance officer of Constellation Energy,
will be honored by the National LGBT Bar Association with its
annual Out & Proud Corporate Counsel award for his work with
the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community.
Berardesco will receive the award during the organization’s Out
& Proud Corporate Counsel Reception on Oct. 7, 2010 at the
Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Washington, D.C.
“Charlie Berardesco represents the best that the legal

the LGBT Bar Association. “He illustrates his commitment to
excellence in business and the profession – after all, it was his
peers who nominated him for this recognition. His commitment to the

In addition to serving in his other roles at Constellation
Energy, Berardesco is the chairman of Constellation Energy's
Diversity Council, a cross functional team of leaders from across
the enterprise that work on incorporating diversity and inclusion
into the workplace.

Prior to joining Constellation Energy, Berardesco had practiced
law for nearly 20 years, both in-house and as external counsel. He
is a member of the Business Council of the Human Rights Campaign,
the largest civil rights organization working to achieve equality
for LGBT Americans. In addition, he is active in a number of
charitable organizations, including having served as chairman of
the board of the Woodbourne Center, president of the Presbyterian
Home of Maryland, chair of the Church Council of Foundry United
Methodist Church and a member of the board of directors of the
Baltimore Choral Arts Society and the Hippodrome Foundation.
The National LGBT Bar Association is a national association that
promotes justice in and through the legal profession for the LGBT
community. In 2007, the LGBT Bar began hosting its signature Out
& Proud Corporate Counsel Reception in New York City, in
conjunction with the Minority Corporate Counsel Association’s
Annual Creating Pathways to Diversity Conference. Since then, the
event has expanded to multiple cities, including San Francisco and
Los Angeles. This year’s reception will be held for the first time
in Washington, D.C.
