Constellation Energy Contributes $4.1 Million to 2008 United Way Campaigns

Constellation Energy (NYSE:CEG) today announced that, along with
its approximately 10,000 employees, it proudly continued the
tradition of generous community support by contributing $4.1
million to 2008 United Way campaigns where Constellation Energy and
its subsidiaries have operations. Once again, the company earned
the distinction of being the largest corporate contributor to
United Way campaigns in Central Maryland, Calvert County, Md., and
Greater Oswego County, N.Y.

United Way campaigns in communities where we live and do business,�

In addition to being the largest United Way corporate
contributor to campaigns in the areas of Maryland and upstate New
York, Constellation Energy also made substantial contributions to
the United Way of the National Capital Area, the United Way of
Greater Rochester, N.Y., and the United Way of the Texas Gulf,
Texas.
Many Constellation Energy employees not only made generous
pledges, but hundreds also participated in several United
Way-sponsored fundraising and community outreach programs across
the country, totaling more than 5,000 volunteer hours. Numerous
additional Constellation Energy employees donated their time and
energy to several annual Constellation Energy Days of Caring
projects, including participating in an extreme building makeover
to benefit the Franklin Square Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club
in Baltimore, volunteering at the Maryland Food Bank, helping to
build multiple Habitat for Humanity homes in Baltimore and
volunteering at the DePelchin Children�s Center in Houston.
