Employees volunteer more than 1,000 hours through Constellation Energy Days of Caring BALTIMORE, Feb. 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Constellation Energy (NYSE:CEG) today announced that it, along with its more than 10,000 employees, continued the tradition of generous community support by contributing $5.1 million to 2007 United Way Campaigns where Constellation Energy and its subsidiaries have operations, once again distinguishing the company as the largest corporate contributor to United Way in the Central Maryland, Calvert County, Md., and Greater Oswego County, N.Y., areas. Through employee contributions and the company's corporate matching gift -- 50 cents for every dollar contributed -- Constellation Energy's United Way Campaign contributions totaled $5.1 million, topping the $4.7 million contributed last year. Employee contributions also increased to $3.4 million this year. Additionally, 93 Constellation Energy employees have become members of the prestigious Alexis DeToqueville Society, generously donating $10,000 dollars to the United Way.
