Ten Asian Editors to Tour Verigy’s Silicon Valley Operations

On November 30, Verigy (NASDAQ:VRGY), a premier semiconductor
test company, will host a visit to its Silicon Valley headquarters
by a delegation of 10 journalists from technology and business
media throughout Asia and the Pacific Rim.
Comprised of reporters and editors from Japan, Taiwan, China and
Korea, the delegation will receive an update on the company’s
latest market activities, see product demonstrations, and tour the
U.S. headquarters facility. The visiting journalists will receive a
tour of the 2,370-square-foot customer demonstration lab,
applications and technical support areas, and the Verigy Learning
Center, where customers receive hands-on training on the operation
and maintenance of Verigy’s various test-equipment platforms.
Product demonstrations will include Verigy’s V101 tester, newly
introduced in July to perform highly cost-efficient testing of
low-end semiconductor devices for mass-market applications such as
mobile communications and customer electronics. The V101 is
designed to meet the testing needs of customers throughout Asia and
the Pacific Rim, and is expected to help the company continue to
expand its large market share in those regions.
This media event will offer the visiting journalists an update
on Verigy’s momentum in its various market segments, which include
system-on-a-chip (SOC), system-in-package (SiP), high-speed memory,
Flash memory, DRAM and low-cost semiconductor devices as well as
probe cards, a directly related component market that Verigy
entered in June with its acquisition of Touchdown Technologies.
