Tumbleweed Names James Guthrie EVP of Products; R&D Veteran Will Head Product Management, Engineering and Support

Tumbleweed(R) Communications Corp. (NASDAQ:TMWD), a leading
provider of email security, file transfer security, and identity
validation software and appliances, today announced that James W.
Guthrie has joined the company as executive vice president of
products. In his new role, Guthrie will be responsible for
technical direction, product management, engineering, technical
support and hardware operations. Guthrie brings to Tumbleweed two
decades of experience leading development organizations and
successfully delivering world-class products to market. Prior to
joining Tumbleweed, Guthrie was group vice president at Borland
Software, where he was responsible for development activities for
the ALM integrated suite of products. Before Borland, Guthrie
served as senior vice president of development and support at
Vitria Technology, and as executive vice president of development
and customer support at Brio Software (now Hyperion Solutions).
