"SRS TruVolume is without question the most effective audio
leveling solution available on the market. We're proud to announce
our partnership with Numericable, and welcome the unique
opportunity to help them become the first European operator to
deliver standardized TV volume levels," said Gordon Schenk, Managing Director of Business
Development for SRS Labs. "The most common and globally universal
TV viewing complaint is abrasive volume fluctuations, and we can
declare with confidence that TruVolume-equipped set-top boxes
intuitively eliminate this problem for good."
SRS TruVolume is an advanced, intelligent volume control
solution that eliminates the irritating volume fluctuations from
television programming, commercials, DVDs, CDs, streaming content,
and video games, resulting in a more enjoyable and level audio
experience.
"At Numericable, we strive to provide our customers with an
optimized entertainment experience, and through the support of the
SRS TruVolume solution we can now deliver standard volume playback
across HD and SD broadcast channels and on-demand video content,
allowing us to put High Def channels first in the program guide,"
said Philippe Le May, Chief
Technology Officer for Numericable.
A recent MarketTools consumer study revealed that more than
65-percent of consumers would be "happy" to "very happy" to learn
that their cable or satellite provider provides a volume leveling
solution, such as SRS TruVolume. Meanwhile, this same study
indicated that more the 1/3 of consumers would be willing to switch
to another provider in order to be free from drastic volume
fluctuations.
TruVolume is now being delivered by Numericable as a firmware
upgrade for compatible set-top boxes. This new partnership with
Numericable has further solidified SRS Labs' position as the de
facto standard for all audio post-processing applications.
