- Sharp will use SRS Labs embedded technology in over 40 AQUOS LCD TV models SANTA ANA, Calif., June 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SRS Labs, Inc. (NASDAQ:SRSL), the industry leader in surround sound, audio and voice technologies, announced today that Sharp, one the top five manufacturers of LCD TVs in the world, has implemented SRS Labs' acclaimed TruSurround XT in the highly popular AQUOS line of LCD TVs designed for the Asian and European markets. The embedded technology will appear in 25 models for the Asian market and 16 models expressly for European sales. While Sharp has used SRS technologies in their TVs in the past, this is the first time they have incorporated SRS TruSurround XT due to its realistic rendering of virtual surround sound effects.
